Tips for Bride at her Shower?

Hello Ladies! My shower is this Sunday, and it got me thinking... is there something that I should be doing aside from what the shower hosts are doing? I know about thank you cards afterward etc.. But I'd love to bring something to the host.. you know never show up empty handed at a person house? Not sure what to do. Is this weird, or does anyone have any suggestions?Cheers!

    Hostess gifts are common at showers. Etiquette only requires a thank you note, but it's still nice. My sister got concert tickets as a hostess gift, but the more typical route is flowers/wine/bath products.
