I'm the maid of honor for my sister's wedding in July. She wants a bridal shower but she is having a very small wedding (20 guests). What is the protocol on inviting people to the shower if they will not be invited to the wedding?

    It is extremely rude to invite someone to the shower and not to the wedding.  Period.

    You can't invite anyone to the shower who is not invited the wedding. It's really rude and basically tells guests that they are important enough to spend money on the bride, but not actually see her get married. It looks gift grabby.
