How long before yur wedding date do yu have a pre wedding party and what exactly do yu do at it..

    Prewedding parties are thrown for you. You should not thow them for yourself.  They are extras and not required.  Showers are usually 2-3 months before the wedding and b-parties are a few weeks before.

    Our family was looking to have a shower in April for my daughter who is getting married in June. Does this seem about right? When should invites go out for it? Thanks.
