Any recommendations for invites to a kitchen-themed bridal shower?

As far as gift giving?  Has the bride registered?

I like to think of a "theme" and work from there:
If I know the bride is a baker, I might put together a basket with a cookie sheet, rolling pin, spatula, mixing bowl, some cookie cutters, perhaps some cute pot holders or oven mitt, and, depending on budget, throw in a hand mixer.

You could do the same with a beverage theme and put together glasses, barware, coasters, mixers.....

You could put together a "basics" package and put in some kitchen towels, wooden spoons, apron, storage containers......

You could get a set of wooden kitchen utensils (wooden spoon, wooden fork, etc.). Write all the party info on them secure with rubberband and cover rubberband with ribbon. Add stamp to utensils and mail as-is. No need for a box. I saw this somewhere just yesterday, but can't seem to find it again.
