Walking down the aisle

Does anyone have any creative ways to ask your dad to walk you down the aisle?

umm.  I didn't even ask.  Does your dad not know he is walking you down the aisle?

I guess my family is pretty traditional in that respect.  Either way if you feel you do need to ask him, then just ask him.

Maybe go do somethign that is special to the two of you when you ask, but you dont need to make it all cutsie.  Walking you down the aisle is probably special enough.

Hmm well if he knows then I think asking him is kinda odd,  but I totally get wanting to do something special for him.

How about a heartfelt note for him.  Thanking him for being such a wonderful dad, how close you are and how lucky you are to have him there to walk you down the aisle. etc....

I think sometimes a heartfelt not is under rated.

Well he already knows he is going to do it. We're just really close so I wanted to do something special to ask him formally that would mean a lot to him.

How about like a little scrapbook--five pages or so--of your favorite pictures of the two of you together?  I like the heartfelt note idea.  You could even just send your dad some flowers.

I'm with PP:  my family is pretty traditional and it was just kind of expected.  My dad and I are very close as well but it was just understood.

My dad hasn't always been part of my life, so I did have to ask him.  But, nothing cute, I just called him up and asked him.

When it comes to the parents, they don't need "creative", they usually prefer honest and meaningful.

Just ask him if he'd do you the honor of escortiing you down the aisle.

my dad used to do scavenger hunts for us to find christmas or easter gifts...that's how i would do it if i were going to do something..unfortunately, he's in Montana, and i am here, so it's a bit hard to pull it off. :)  But it's really sweet that you want to make the moment special! :)
