Card box dilemma..

So I went to Hobby Lobby to get some plain red scrapbook paper. And they didn't have anything! It all has some kind of design on it, no plain reds. I wanted to do paper because it seems pretty easy and I've watched videos on it. Already tried using fabric and that was a disaster. Does anyone have any other ideas I can try?

Have you tried Joann's or Michael's? I've definitely seen plain red scrapbook paper there. Also, are you trying to wrap the cardbox or what are you trying to do? How about red wrapping paper?

I've see red scrapbook paper at joanns, michels, ac moore, and even walmart.  you my aveto try a few mre stores.

Yes I'm trying to wrap the paper mch boxes I got and then add some ribbon. Here's the look I'm going for http://www.etsy.com/listing/78468976/weddingcardboxmoneyboxgiftcard?refusr_faveitems I have already looked at Walmart, they only sell the books of scrapbook paper that is either multi colored or has designs. And the Joann store has the same thing, I have one more craft store to try but idk if I will have any luck that's why I'm asking for suggestions :

That looks like wrapping paper to me.
You should find a nice, heavy weight red wrapping paper with the Christmas stuff at craft stores.

I covered my card box with gold old contact paper. Our them was black & white vintage, and I found black & white toile contact paper by googling.

In case you have never worked with it (yes, it's an old school idea), it is fairly thick, shiny,  and has paper backing on a sticky side. You simply cut to fit, then peel the paper backing off as you smooth it on. Works pretty well.

If you google around, my might be able to find it in a red print as well.

Thanks everyone! I truly appreciate it! I called every single craft store in my area.. And the only one that sells contact paper only has clear! This project is seeming to be such a pain. I even had to order the paper mch boxes online because nobody here sells them. : don't know if I should order the contact paper online or travel an hr away to different craft stores..

have you thought about trying a heavy 'lining' satin in red and just using modpog or watered down elmers?? i would thing you could use either shoe boxes/boot boxes or perhaps the shipping boxes from the post office?? just prime them with a white paint first so no printing shows...
