Shower Gifts Delivered Early

Hi Everyone-

I am having an out-of-state shower in a few weeks and people have been sending the gifts instead of giving them to me at the shower so I don't have to fly with them.  Do I open them now? And if so, should I send a Thank-You immediatley, or do I wait until after the shower when I write all my Thank-Yous?

    You always open gifts and send thank yous immediately.  Don't use them until after the wedding.

    I agree with PP.  I'd open the gifts, make sure nothing is broken, write a thank you note, and then store the gifts away until after the wedding.
