My shower is next Sunday, and hosted by my sister/MOH. I was sort of resistant to the idea of a shower in the first place, because I truly hate attending showers in general. I caved and agreed to have the shower (mostly b/c we just bought our first house!) but made it clear to my MOH, BMs, mom, that I didn't want to open gifts in front of people. It makes me uncomfortable, and I'm not a good liar, and I hate all the (sometimes fake) "ooooh, ahhhhh, how lovelies."I was feeling confident about that until I mentioned it to a coworker, who looked at me like I had three heads and said "wow....won't people think that's really rude?"Now I'm feeling really uncertain. Can I get away with not opening the presents, or am I really actually being a bratty a**hole?Try not to judge me too much.
