I inherited a set of china from my grandmother. It's not exactly my style, but it's sentimental. The set consists of 12 dinner plates, 2 round serving bowls, 1 oval serving bowl, 8 small fruit bowls, 8 dessert plates, 12 cups & saucers for tea/coffee. The pattern has long since been discontinued (it's a set imported from Japan circa 1960). There are random pieces that pop up on eBay and other china websites, but I'm not sure what else I would need because I don't know how often I'll actually use it.
So my question is, how often do you use your formal china and what pieces do you use when you do?
