My cousin is having a shower tomorrow. I will not be attending because I live out of state. I ordered her gift on July 25th from her registry. The day after I placed the order I got an email from the company saying it was a custom order and would take 4 weeks to make. I called them yesterday and it will be ready next week and then it will take a week to ship from California to New York. Should I call my cousin and let her know? I don't want her to think I forgot about her or her shower. Would it be weird to call and tell her I purchased her gift but it's not coming for two more weeks or should i just let her realize that when she receives it and sees the order date?
