Gift for FRIEND OFFICIANT?

What's a good gift for an officiant who is our friend? Should it just be a gift as if it were his bday and get him something sports or hobby related? I know he likes to golf... could the groom take him golfing as his gift or should it be something tangeable?

It doesn't have to be a tangible gift, an experience is fine.  I would probably stay away from giving an experience that includes the groom, though--that seems like a weird gift to me.  If you want to give him golf time, let him decide who he takes.  

I also think that a restaurant gift card is a nice idea (although talk to the restaurant and see if he will be able to use the gift card for tip, we found that not all restaurants allow this, and it kind of defeats the purpose of treating someone to a meal if they have to shell out the tip themselves).
