Dress fitting Veil or no Veil (PIP)

I had my dress fitting yesterday (yay). I finally found a pic that would allow me to upload. I went back and forth on the sash and decided against it. I also talked to the FI about the sash although he has no idea what it looks like. He said "why would you wear a belt on a dress. Ok so no sash it is. Now I think I need some sort of veil? Not like a full veil, but maybe a comb veil thingy in the back. What do you all think? It's tricky since I have a short hair cut.

I think the dress looks great on you!  I have no idea re: veil or no veil.  I don't think your hair length matters; plenty of women with long hair wear it up.  Good luck!

I vote no veil - but a pretty comb or fascinator (?).  Dress is very pretty!

It looks beautiful!  I don't think you need a veil at all, the dress is gorgeous as is!  But if you wanted you could put a fresh flower or if you really want a shorter veil try a "birdcage" veil?

A bit late, but that is a gorgeous dress, and fabulous on you! Great choice.

The length of hair doesn't matter, it's whatever you want. Is your ceremony in a chapel or church that has some "size" to it? Would you want to have something trailing behind you? If a long veil is not your thing, I have seen some adorable "poufy" ones that have width & height, but are only about a foot long. Birdcage would also look great.

When thinking of veils, also remember that there are no rules that say they have to be attached in any way to the headpiece. For example, I had a veil on a comb, but a separate headband (see the signature pic below). From the front it looks like they could be attached, but they were not. I took the veil off after the ceremony and just wore the headband during the reception.

I don't think you can go wrong any way you go.
