Second (or more) Timers may appreciate what my friend just sent.

She's a country music fan - I'm not.  However, the song she sent seems to be acceptable. :)

We've been friends for about 20 years, since HS, and through several marriages between the two of us.   She's trying to make me cry - but it's not happening. ;)

Depressing, yes, but she was more doing the "sad" portion of things now, months before the wedding actually gets here.

I like the Rascal Flatts song, but I don't really like songs that mention past relationships in them for weddings. ;)  I have a real hangup about the term "broken heart," too.  I don't want damaged goods!

This amuses me, only because we had the least traditional wedding reception musician in history!  Her repertoire consisted mostly of songs like "Honeyed Out" and "Before He Cheats."  For our first dance song, we realized absolutely nothing she could sing was going to be appropriate.  We therefore got her to learn--and do a karaoke version of--Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love."  For the rest of the evening, we just had her let loose with her usual repertoire.  We and our guests had a great time, but it was decidedly not the usual reception fare.
