soloist at Baptist church

Is it OK to have a male sing "Ave Maria" in a Baptist church? Groom is Catholic, bride is Lutheran, both are military. And church is only one available due to time constraints. Not even sure if it is ok to have a male sing this song.

The Baptist church probably won't allow the  "Ave Maria." Check with the minister or music director of that specific church. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if the the vocalist is male or female.

I'm a Presbyterian organist, and I have sung the Ave in my church, and in several other denomination churches.

Particularly because your FI is Catholic, I wouldn't have a problem, but the only way you're going to find out is to call the church and ask.  GL
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
