I found it's okay to splurge sometimes - and not other times. You don't need super expensive everything. Sometimes expensive companies are a total gimick! I am a makeup ADDICT (I've run out of room in my 20-inch toolbox for all of it) but if I had to choose favorites:
Face: Clinique tinted moisturizer and Physician's Formula pressed powder Cheeks: Benefit Dallas bronzer and Tarte Cheek Stain in Flushed Eyes: any Urban Decay eye shadow (the colors are so vibrant!), Covergirl eyeliner, and Buxom mascara Lips: Covergirl Wetslicks amazemint (fresh breath is a sweet bonus)
This will save you tons of money, You NEED to have St. Ives Facial (or body scrub) $3.00 @ Walmart, and use it on your face everytime you shower instead of any other facial cleanser. (I don't remember when I last had a pimple!) Then you use Dove facial moisturizer ($7.00 @ Walmart) very light & totally within budget! The most important & last thing to use is QUO FACIAL PRIMER (Approx $20 at a drug store) This primer is wicked awesome! It saved me so much $$ over the years from buying the most expensive makeup. Your makeup goes on smooth & lasts alllllll day right into the night. Don't forget to put it all over your face including lips ;) FYI: A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!!!! You use primer on your walls before you paint, why not on your face! Pure genius! Other then that, any generic cosmetic that is on sale I try, Loreal Infallible is my recent favorite it's the longest lip gloss I ever had on, pretty cool! Hope that helps! C.

I am going to get airbrushed for my wedding day. I have tried it and love it. I'm not sure if you are looking for everyday use or for the BIG day but I recommend at least trying the airbrushed look. This way you don't have to worry about your makeup all night (no matter how long of a day). Most places will also include partial/full eyelashes that way everything looks its best all night.
