Hair tip help

Hello! 

I am in love with the hair style that the Jim Hjelm model (she is in like every picture with his occasions collect) has. It a soft tussled, curly thing. My question is, how would I get that to stay for the entire day/night?? Any suggestions?

    1" curling iron and a bunch of hairspray.

    Curl in 2" sections, cover them in spray, and when everything is curled, flip your head upside-down and back up again.

    My roommate is an expert at this style.  i've seen her do it about 3 billion times.
