Lip color

I know the most popular looks for brides are the fake natural look, you know, wearing pounds of makeup to make it look like you're wearing none? But in my daily life, I never wear makeup. Wearing makeup on my wedding day will be something that I will not be used to.

My wedding colors will be dark blue and orange, so I was thinking having orange lips. Is that awkward on a fair-skinned girl? I love orange on dark skin, but I don't know about fair.

Orange should work, but I would go for a very high quality brand.  Try a makeup counter at a department store to match one to your skin tone.  Orange lips were popular in the 1930s, but honestly, I wouldn't be concerned with matching your own makeup to your wedding colors.

Try experimenting with a Coral lipgloss, orange can be tricky, and although it does wear well on fair skin, you may feel like you are wearing a lot of makeup.

I think it depends on what type of orange and your coloring.  Maybe try going to Sephora or MAC to try out lipsticks.  You certainly don't have to wear orange lipstick just because orange is one of your colors.

Edit:  I actually did a bit of research, and I think that the orange lipstick can be great.  I think that if you will need to balance everything out if you go with orange lips.  Make sure the eyes are not too bold.

Coral seems to work it has alittle orange in it.
