  • Are you attempting to include the stepmom into the seating of the mothers as well? Or just parents? There doesn't seem to be a set "tradition" but I would say have either the FI, Best Man, Groomsman, or ushers do the seating. One way would be to have FI walk his mother to her seat and then take his place at the front and then have the BM seat your mother. If you are including the stepmother, I don't know if she would be offended by simply being seated by a groomsman/usher. HTH.

  • I'm a MOB and a MOG.  The only thing I've asked for at either wedding is that my son escort me. Other than being sentimental, I have no other reason for wanting this. I just do.

At DD's wedding the groom will secort his mom and then go join the groomsman and pastor to walk in. They will enter from a side door near the front of the church.

DS's wedding isn't till next April so I don't think those logistics have quite been worked out yet.

In our wedding, DH's mom was escorted by DH and his nephew (The only grandchild on their side, and also our RB). My mom was escorted by my 2 brothers (1 was in the WP, 1 was not).

DH, the GMs and the RB were standing in the front before the processional started. Then DH and the RB walked up the aisle together, followed by my brother who was in the BP. Then his mom was escorted, followed by my mom (My other brother was waiting with us in the back), and then the BMs started their processional.

If you fire a WP member, you're against America.
