In my FI's family it is a tradition to use the cake cutting knife that his grandparents did at their wedding, it has been used in all their children, and grandchildren wedding and with my FI and i being one of the last ones of the grand children to get married i dont want to break tradition, however my mother was kind of upset when i didnt want to use her cake cutting knife, its just not my style, but i would still like to incorporate it into the wedding. How can i use both? and not offend either party?
