I've heard of many different unity traditions: the unity candle, the combining of sand, jumping over a broom, etc. but I have yet to find something that appeals to me. I don't want to blow out a candle that we lit together (I'm being silly and superstitious here) but more than anything, I don't necessarily want to be tied to carrying around a candle or a vase of sand for the rest of my life. I grew up in a family that moved a lot and I can just see the trouble it would cause. We want something unique, but still symbolic. Any ideas?
