My Fiance and I aren't religious people. The only religious officiant I would be able to ask, I haven't spoken to in a decade. So we decided on asking my older brother to do the ceremony. My parents are two VERY religious people and when they heard about my brother being the JOP, they FLIPPED.
It would mean more to us to have my brother officiate, but because my parents are paying for about half the wedding, should we just choose the religious official to ease their minds??
