I read in an article that the flower girls and ring bearer are supposed to sit with the parents after walking down the aisle. I understand why the flower girls are supposed to, but why does the ring bearer sit? Isn't he supposed to hold the rings until they are needed? It seems kind of pointless to even have one if he is just going to pass the rings off to someone as soon as he gets up there and then sit down. Is it okay to have the ring bearer stand in the line with the groomsmen until the rings are needed? Our ring bearer is nine, and he should be able to handle standing still for the ceremony. What do you think?
