I was watching a few episodes of Four Wedding on Demand and I noticed that several of the brides serve their guests full meals during cocktail hour. Personally, I thought the point of cocktail hour was to have trays of appetizers passed around (or stationed) and drinks to encourage people to mingle with one another.
Am I wrong? Should I have more food during cocktail hour?
I organize large corporate dinners all the time and this is how we handle cocktail hour. Or should I assume that at weddings people don't "work the room" as much as they would if it were a networking event.
