Seamstress/Taylor recommendations?

I'm from the Austin board, but my Mom lives in SA and wants to have a (seems simple enough) MOB dress made... she hasn't been happy with any of the fancy dress places and wants to have a "replica" of her favorite black dress made into a different color for the wedding.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

    I was a MOB two years ago and had my dress made at Sew Chic in the Alamo Hts. area (on Broadway). The ladies are very nice and I was pleased with my dress.

    I've heard that Sew Chic can be very expensive.

    I know one of the girls on here got her wedding dress completely redone (new shape, hem, etc) by Diana Ackerman from The Threadbender: http://www.thethreadbender.com/.
    She was very happy with how her dress came out, and I'm pretty sure she said the price was very reasonable considering how many hours Diana put into the dress. I know Diana had closed her shop for a little while because of an illness, so you'll have to check if she is open again.
