Re: WPBP of the day

• What is the most recent concert you've been to? Floggi9ng Molly, back in March.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Lifehouse, in 2003.

Favorite concert? The first Flogging Molly concert I went to, in 2009 in Boston.  That one was really good.  The one this year was just eh.  They played a lot of really obscure stuff from before they were recording, and the concert hall was a lot dirtier.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? Nothing too spectacular.  I don't go to really big concerts, most of the ones I've been to have been pretty small, with the exception of Evanescence in 2007.

• Yesss! I was bored too!

What is the most recent concert you've been to? Band of Horses and Pearl Jam. It was amazing. Pearl Jam is my favorite band and it was the first time I had seen them in concert. It was a religious experience for me.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Fastball, Sugar Ray and the Goo Goo Dolls. Fastball didn't show up so they had some band named Frog Pond play instead. They were awful.

Favorite concert? Definitely Pearl Jam.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? The amount of bras I've seen thrown on stage is just ridiculous.

What is the most recent concert you've been to?  I think Third Eye Blind a few years ago.  Or maybe Sara Evans.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Slick Shoes.

Favorite concert? Probably The Starting Line.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? Little girls dressed up all punk while escorted by a dad at Yellowcard.

Random fun fact: DH once had a large-ish delivery.  The voicemail picked up when he called the first time saying "this is ___ from the All American Rejects."  I got a call saying "I think I just delivered to the All American Rejects.  It was a guy in tight pants.  Are they playing on campus tonight?"
• What is the most recent concert you've been to?  It's been a long time.  But we're seeing Rush next month.

What was the first concert you ever attended?
I can't remember, I went to a lot of them when I was younger.

Favorite concert?
Nine Days, Vertical Horizon, and Third Eye Blind.  3eb were kind of assholes, but the other two bands were awesome.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert?
Well, my first introduction to condom balloons was at a Dave Matthews Band concert.  I can't really think of anything too crazy.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

• What is the most recent concert you've been to? Lady Gaga in St. Louis 2 weeks ago. :)

What was the first concert you ever attended? 3 Doors Down.  Waaaay back in the day when they first came out with Kryptonite.  They came to the fair in my city.  The concert was free. haha.

Favorite concert? This is really a toss up, I'm not sure how I could ever say any concert was better than Lady Gaga, but when I saw Green Day a couple of years ago, it was a phenominal show.  They've been my favorite band for so long.  I guess they still win for favorite concert ever.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? At the venue in my city where concerts usually are, the arena doubles as an ice rink for the local hockey team.  When they have concerts, they have wood planks that they lay down over the ice.  They are secured down, but people will pull them up at the concerts.  Then there will be a huge patch of ice in the middle of the "mosh pit."  Stuff seems to get pretty ridiculous on that.

Also, people will crowd surf atop the boards that have been pulled up.  Talk about dangerous.
What is the most recent concert you've been to?
Barenaked Ladies
<div>
What was the first concert you ever attended?
The Goo Goo Dolls. I was in 6th grade, and my <much> older sister (probably 27 at the time) was planning on going with a friend, but her friend never showed up. I got home from school on the bus, walked into my house, and my sister was like, "Do you want to go to a concert?" it was a blast! :)</div><div>
Favorite concert?
Definitely one of the many Barenaked Ladies concerts I've been to...hmm...I would have to say either their Stunt tour or their Maroon tour.</div><div>
Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert?
Well, the concert itself was pretty ridiculous...Barenaked Ladies were recording "One Week" for the Stanley Cup (some important professional hockey game), and they were recording it at the St. Paul winter carnival on the ICE PALACE...that's right, outside in the freezing cold on top a gigantic pile of ice. </div><div>
</div><div>The tickets were not for sale to the public, but my neighbors had gotten them through work and knew we were huge fans, so they gave them to my little sister and me. It was them playing "One Week" over and over again on tape to get it right...and the crowd had to get super excited every time, lol. </div><div>
</div><div>Plusalso, the bands' hands kept getting cold and they had to warm them between takes so they could play their freakin' guitars. They were really good natured about the whole thing, and funny, so the whole thing was actually pretty fun. I'm pretty sure I was on TV later that day, but I missed it...  :)</div><div>

• Most recent concert? 5 years ago to Keith Urban! So good...and so frickin' hot!

First concert? Creed with Seven Dust. I was in the mosh pitt. That was an interesting first time experience. Esp. since two big guys tried to make a Suz mosh pitt sandwich.

Favorite Concert? Keith Urban with Kenny Chesney and Montgomery Gentry were really good. There was a lot of energy. My favorite would still have to be the Eagles Farewell tour though.

Most ridiculous thing i've seen at a concert? First concert experience with Creed there was a terrible thunderstorm moving through the area. The Bi-Lo Center lost power and had to run off of back up lighting. The concert was postponed for 2 hours. People got bored. There was a thick pot smell and women started getting on guys' shoulders and flashing their boobs. That was the first time I saw saggy 60 year old boobs! Oh the memories :P

• *frogurt, just as a side note I think we're from the same area.

What is the most recent concert you've been to?
Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage and Disturbed back in May 09 I believe.
What was the first concert you ever attended?
Smashmouth. Free concert and the local fair.
Favorite concert?
A toss up between Something Corporate and Finger Eleven
Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert?
What frogurt said.
Oh and at another Disturbed concert back in '02 there was a douche walking around with a swastika on his shirt. He took it off and was waving it around like it was the coolest thing next to sliced bread. He was NOT liked at that concert.

• I've only been to one concert: Maroon 5.  It was at the beginning of my freshman year of college (2003).

Ha, I bet you're right.  I also went to the free Smashmouth concert at the fair. :)

That's crazy.  I don't think I've ever run into anyone on these boards that have been from the same area as me!

• What is the most recent concert you've been to? I want to say the first Mayhem Tour, in '08...Disturbed, Slipknot and more...we want to go to this year's show next week but I don't know if that's gonna happen :(

What was the first concert you ever attended? Debbie Gibson...I was 7 :)

Favorite concert? Mayhem was definitely on my list of faves, as well as Ozzfest '02 and when I saw Linkin Park in I think '03 or '04?

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? Ozzfest '02...Rob Zombie got a bunch of skanky girls to get up on stage and dance while he performed "Living Dead Girl"...it was disgusting.

• I'm glad you posted this--I wanted to, but didn't think I could come up with any good questions.  I like these!

What is the most recent concert you've been to?
I think Maroon 5 about 2 years ago.  I freaking love Adam Levine.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Weird Al Yankovic when I was in 5th grade.

Favorite concert? Probably Maroon 5, though I saw the Spice Girls when I was younger and that was the highlight of my life for a long time.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? I can't really think of anything ridiculous.  Most that I've been to have been your run-of-the-mill concerts.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Van Halen - the 5150 tour

Favorite concert? Tie between the first time I saw Styx (fave band) at the Arts Center & we had 13th row seats... and when I saw Meat Loaf at a Broadway theater & had 11th row seats.

Most ridiculous thing you've seen at a concert? A kid at a Bon Jovi concert who got so stoned during the opening act that he fell asleep during intermission and missed the entirety of Bon Jovi's show.  What's the point?
