Mosquito control at outdoor venues

Hi all:
Besides spray, does anyone have any advice on dealing with mosquitos at outdoor venues? I've been eaten alive just visiting some. Thanks!

    YES! Mosquitos cannot fly in a breeze.  Gentlly blowing fans are your best friend.  I'm from New England and we used this trick at every outdoor get together,  Plus, Texas can be so hot no one minds the fans and they make you look great in all the pictures.
