people if they want to be part of your wedding party? I was thinking at the 1 year mark? Am I wrong?

    The general rule is 9 months out. Since you're so far out, I would definitely wait. Relationships change and people come in and out of your life. To save yourself from potential drama, I would follow the 9 month mark.

    general rule of thumb is 6-9 months.  I asked my girls at like 10.5 (because I didn't know the rule, haha) and it worked out fine.  Definitely wait until you're inside a year though

    I think it depends on the relationships, how many people you're asking, etc.  My husband asked his life-long (40+ years) friend and I asked my son (age 18).  We knew that neither of us would want anyone else to stand up for us.  We asked them well over a year in advance.
