Ok to use a "chuppah" with only 2 posts?

My mom had described a chuppah to me and reserved it, and I had no idea that it ony has 2 posts, rather than 4. It is gorgeous, and we've already paid for it, which is the important part!

So, I am just wondering if we're okay to use it as a chuppah or if it will be frowned upon as it only has 2 posts?

Thanks!

Traditionally, a chuppah is open on all four sides--which could be tricky with only 2 posts.  However, a chuppah is only a tradition, not a requirement under Jewish law.  I'd speak with the rabbi or cantor who will be officiatingi about the situation, and see what s/he says.

If you've seen it and it's a chuppah in every respect except for 2 posts (which I'm not sure how that would look like), then there's no reason you can't use it. But I agree you should your rabbi/officiant.  Worse case, I am sure you can make adjustments to it, even at a small fee, but it's not a requirement so if you like it, it shouldn't be a problem.
