Jordan Almonds

I am thinking of giving out Jordan Almonds in a cute mazal tov pouch as a favor. Do you think Jordan Almonds are more a bar mitzvah thing???

Honestly I thought they were a "Catholic thing," though now that I think about I don't know why I thought that.

But I've never in my life seen Jordan almonds at a Jewish wedding or bar/bat mitzvah. Maybe one of those traditions that varies by region or practice?

Yeah I thought that was an Italian thing, just because I've only seen Italian catholic ladies on the knot talk about it.  I think it is fine though if you'd like to give them.

I'm doing kosher parve chocolate covered almonds in blue (one of my wedding colors) for my favors.  I'm ordering them in bulk from http://www.metrocandy.com/CHOCOLATE-ALMONDS-INDIVIDUAL-COLORS. Like PP have said, Jordan almonds are considered kind of "goyish."
