PA last name change question

My partner and I are planning our wedding ceremony and reception in PA on Sept 28th, then will honeymoon in Vermont where we will legally wed. Our main reason for tying the knot legally was so that upon arrival back in PA I could legally change my last name to hers, with the aid of a legal marriage certificate...Has anyone out there in PA changed your last name after marrying your same-sex partner and if so do you have any tips or pointers for me? Was it hard to switch? Thanks so much for your help

I'm sorry to say it looks like you may have to go through a legal name change in Pennsylvania before you can change the name on your Pennsylvania driver's license.

PA does not recognize same sex marriages performed in other states.  You will have to go through a legal name change

I am going through that same issue, I am waiting until after the wedding here in pa to legally change my name for one because I need to use my passport for the honeymoon but changing your name has nothing to do with a marriage license from another state, hopefully soon PA will come to their senses and just make it legal already! Lol some day...
