Ottawa - alternatives to dinner ie activites?

Hello,

We want to have a celebration but aren't so keen into the typical sit down wedding dinner. I don't mind a dinner but then I want the food to be reflective of us and not just chicken. I was looking for alternatives but not really themed or off beat.

Was wondering if anyone has done something in the Ottawa or Ottawa valley region that was different...

I was thinking of maybe:
Sugar Bush
World food stations
...

It would be for Jan or Feb/Mar 2013

We;re doinga  BBQ Buffet.  If your interested in something like that Bytown catering has this as one of their catering options and they have about 6 different "menus" to choose from.
Where is your reception? This may help me in giving you other suggestions.

ETA: I just noticed your planning for January or Feb/March in which the BBQ probably won't be feasible.  I'll try to think of other ideas.

Bytown also does tex-mex style buffet but i could see that possibly getting a bit messy for a wedding.
