I'm sure others have this situation and I'm curious how you're handling it or if you've thought about it yet. I will have my mom and stepdad, dad, mom's parents, dad's mom, step grandmother (who no one should have to sit with :-/), then my fiancee's dad and step mother. That's it for his family most likely, so I feel like our parents should all sit together, and then grandparents together? but then that's only tables of 5 and 4 and I will most likely be having tables of 8 and 6 to get everyone seated in limited space. Does it make more sense to seat my dad and his family (aunts/uncles, grandma) together (8) and then my mom and stepdad with FI parents and grandparents on their side (7). Or is that an odd combination? Then I have to figure out what to do with my mom's sister and cousins on that side... but that's 6, so they could be their own smaller table.
Ok, now that I've thoroughly confused everyone, anyone have thoughts? How are you seating?
