Ok, I'm new here, recently engaged, about a month ago.
We have been together for 2 years, I feel totally lucky to be marrying the man of my dreams, but......
We are lucky enough to be getting married at the home friends. They have a lovely property, and it's actually were we met, which makes it very special, and the perfect place to get married.
We envision a very, very casual wedding. Like a big BBQ + wedding, but more on the BBQ side. We're very casual people, live in a rural area, not fancy, just want everything very simple.
However, the woman who's home we're using has a different vision. They're very close friends of my future husband, so I don't want to cause problems, but truthfully, we want it as simple as possible, we can't really afford much, as we're paying for it ourselves, and would really like to not be pressured into more.
How do I steer it back my way?
