alterations

Does anyone have any good recommendations for good affordable alterations? My wedding isn't unitl May of next year so it will be a while before I get them done, I have my dress already from Davids Bridal but I'm wondering if I should have them do it or have someone else do it.

Darcy at Fragile Fit in Lynnwood is a popular go to on this board.  I am using her and am very happy.  My dress had to be taken in (quite a bit), taken up, bustled, cleaned, I had an inside pocket added and she made my veil and garter out of my moms old veil all for under $400.

For taking in my dress about 1-2 dress sizes, shortening the hem, adding a bustle, and steam cleaning it was less than $250.  It was over a year ago, it might have been less than $200, but I can't really remember, but compared to a few other alterations places I checked out I remember that it was less than the other places.

I 2nd Debra. I am using her for my wedding in 9 days! I did my 2nd fitting last weekend and she did amazing! She changed the neckline from straight to a sweetheart, added a bustle and sewed cups in for $175.
