F/U to yesterday's rage.

I got a call from my student loan lender and they said, "We're pleased to notify you that your bank has faxed a copy of the check for your February payment! We'll credit it to your account. Do you have any questions?"

Well la-di-da, Ms. Chipper Chicken! Why yes, I have questions.

1. WTF happened? "Oh, you wrote the wrong account number on the check. It was credited to your husband's account instead of yours. Next time, be sure you write the correct account number on it to avoid this problem."

WRONG!

It was done through our automated bank Bill-Pay. There was no "wrong account number written" on the damn check! RAGE RAGE RAGE! When I told her this she just said, "OH."

2. So my account is current now? "Yes. In the future, you may want to take advantage of our automatic debit so this problem doesn't happen again."


Whatever. I'm just glad this has been fixed. No thanks to them.

    I'm glad it's figured out.  I love how they are armed with the "Bless your heart, it was all your fault" explanations and then have no idea what to do when you prove them wrong.
