Ok my soon to be BIL just got married this past saturday and his now wife siad he HAD to have a grooms cake? So his mom got him one. My question is what is a grooms cake for? My fiance and I dont want a grooms cake because we feel the wedding cake is something for us that we have picked out ot start are new life together. He told his mom this and she does not like the ideal we wont have a grooms cake. We told her that if she was really wanting to do one she could bring it to the rehearsal but my fiance (her son) does not want it at the recption. Does that sound reasonable?
