A little disappointed

FI just told me tha his grandfather is sick and won't be able to come to the wedding.  I am kinda sad because he is really close to him and really wanted him at the wedding.  It is actually the main reason that we decided to have it in FL.  Now that his grandfather can't come, FI's mom probably won't come either because she doesn't like to fly.  That just leaves his brother and his girlfriend for FIs family.  FI actually said that he almost wishes that we could just go to a resort now.  This sucks...

Thanks Jen(n)s.  I do hope that he gets better, but we have been told that he is going to need dialysis and won't be able to go far from home.

That stinks. Maybe someone can skype him in for a live stream!! We are so technologically advanced these days there has to be a way short of teleporting him. If not, perhaps you guys can have a viewing party with him one day either at home, or while he is doing dialysis to help the time pass!

Maybe he can go. The minister that is coming over to DR with us is on Dailysis. He has a portable machine. My FI asked him to come because he knew he would be able to go with his portable machine. The pastor actually does his dialysis right before our premartial sessions. And he is fine.

Oh, Cathy, I'm really sorry to hear this. For sure one of the hardest things about having a DW is those who aren't able to make it that you really want there. Hope he gets better soon!

Aw so sorry to hear this!! Knottie vibes... maybe they can find a sister organization in FL for him to get dialysis at while he's there?

My father was on dialysis... at first when they aren't 'stable' they don't like them travelling but after awhile when the Drs are comfortable he was allowed to. I hope that he feels up to it and they are able to make that allowance for him.
