Grand Palladium Jamaica Spa & Resort---BEWARE!!

My husband & I wed at the Grand Palladium Jamaica this November. Unfortunately, we had a litany of issues with the Wedding Planning Department: Here are the highlights:

We had 4 different wedding planners. When the 3rd planner left they neglected to notify us so we went without a planner for several weeks before we complained to management and were assigned a new planner. This happened 2 months before the wedding.  Because of the 'changing hands' the information they had on file was incorrect/missing so it took some back and forth before everything was corrected.

It was agreed that our guests would receive an itinerary inside their hotel packet at check it. This was suppose to be coordinated by the planner. But she neglected to share the guest list with the reception desk..

On the morning of the wedding, I entered the wedding office to find that not only the floral requests were wrong (e.g. they had 4 sets of white roses instead of 1 set of 6 roses, the wrong groom boutinerre flower) but that sections of MY bouquet were wilted/brown.

The photographers were late because the wedding dept. neglected to give them the groom's room number. This also delayed the ceremony.

The cocktail hour was set up on the beach instead of the spa even though we expressly told the planner to set it up in the spa because of the pending rain. The cocktail hour appetizers were cold and none of items were labeled.

The soup at the reception was inedible and didn't match the description that the resort had provided (e.g. it  was suppose to come with bammy bread & goat). In addition, the salad had no goat cheese as described.

The escort cards & favors were placed on the dining tables (instead of on a separate table as agreed) so our guests had to walk around to each of the tables to find where they were seated. We're still not sure if everyone got a favor hence the reason why we asked that the cards and one favor per escort card/couple be be placed on a separate table.

No one from the Wedding Department was available at the reception to address concerns although we were told us that planner would be there for the entire event.

There are way too many resorts in Jamaica and other countries that offer weddings.  I have a couple of friends that got married at Couples Negril & Riu Negril and had a beautiful wedding without any hassle.  So please save yourself the time and aggravation and go elsewhere.
