Wedding Insurance Question

Hi ladies,

I'm a former Knottie in need of some help. I'm helping a friend plan her wedding and it's going to be very small, like 10-15 people max. She's looking into a private home for the ceremony only, then would take everyone to a restaurant for the reception. 

My question is, would wedding insurance be necessary for the ceremony at the private home? I know the home owner, but the bride/groom do not. Any help would be much appreciated!

Liablity insurance was required for our venue. I would think it would be up to the homeowner on what they would require. I would assume that if it is at a private home, that they would want to cover themselves and require insurance.
