Venues in/around Sacramento - Offsite Catering

Congratulations to all on here!  :)

I am looking for a small-ish venue (100-150) for our reception with a dance floor that will allow for offsite catering and ideally, "bring your own alcohol" in the Sacramento area.  I have been having trouble finding any venues that will allow for one or the other, or both.

Once we do find a venue, we will also have to find a caterer.  We are looking for two - one that will provide Mexican food and the other Hawaiian/Pacific Rim.  Strange, I know!  We are trying to please both sides.  Any suggestions would be helpful!

We are located out of state and I am so unfamiliar with the Sac area, it's been a challenge!

  • We are having our wedding at Oak Leigh Wedding Gardens http://www.oakleighwedding.com/ and they allow both outside catering and you bring your own alcohol. And, there is no corkage fee or cake cutting fee. Plus! they provide the wedding cake! It is super cute, small-medium size, with a courtyard like setting with a big trellace (sp?) covered in vine plants to provide a lot of shade. Very pretty and kinda of a rustic like feel to it. They have indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony. Check it out!

I too am having my September wedding at Oak Leigh. We are bringing our own alcohol and you pay $150 through them for a bartender. It's the most reasobable place I could find that didn't have any weird hidden fees. The whole outdoor area is beautiful, covered in vines. They do include a cake, but I'm bringing my own in and they are still going to cut it for free. Check it out at http://www.oakleighwedding.com/. Wedding planner Melanie is very nice.

    Good luck!
  • I am using the Masonic lodge in Downtown Sacramento on J street.  They not only have rooms to get married in but a beautiful ball room.  They allow outside catering and even let you set up your own bar with a security gurard.  Vallejos has a great catering price.  Make an appt. around lunch time and they bring out all that will be served so you taste everything.  He charges like 14.50 a person. He will also do a bar for you no host with a 500 dollar deposit.  If your guest spend over the 500 you get your deposit back.

</div><div>I am also using the Masonic Temple in Downtown Sacramento.  They have two smaller rooms that you can use.  They don't care what vendors you use.  I am using Zebra Bar for my Bartending and they are very resonably price. My food is coming from Raynas and she will do it all!  I Mean all!  linens, centerpieces, table numbers, etc. all!  for a very low price. </div>
