Ok I'm getting really restless with all this talk of lists of things being done, but I told myself until we figure out our venue situation I wouldn't get too far ahead of myself....
So I figured I would work on a DIY project I know I want no matter where we have the wedding.
I found this on weddingbee.com:
I am taking empty bottles of Jack Daniels, sawing off the neck, just where the square shape starts, then soaking the bottles to remove the labels....and presto! free vases (I collect them from work since the restaurant and wedding go through so much)
I will be using them to HOPEFULLY put pillar candles in them and line the ceremony aisle and/or put on various tables in the reception, i.e. placecard, guestbook, gift, etc.
Now my dilemma, I am trying to figure out what to use as a stand for the vases for the aisle. Does anyone have creative/cheap suggestions of what to put the vases on???? I don't want the much higher than waist length because I don't want to obstruct anyone's view.
