did anyone ever consider getting married at Mr. Smith's in Gtown?

It's where my fiance and I had our first date.  We'd be able to throw more of a big party than an intimate wedding.  Thoughts?

No, we did not consider it.  We achieved what you have in mind though.  Our wedding was very intimate and the reception was a great dinner party followed by non-stop dancing.  We had a blast!

We didn't look there, but looked at dong a buy-out of our favorite bar. In the end, we went wih a more traditional space, but we'll be going to the bar afterwards.

When we were thinking of the bar, we planned to have a friend who is a set & lighting designer look at the space. We'd talked about strings of twinkle lights, maybe some tabelclothes or draped fabric (mostly for noise reduction), and some basic centerpieces - after all, we wanted AT that bar, so we didn't want to change it too much.
