DOC Estimates?

For those of you that have or have had a DOC, roughly what did you end up spending or what are some of the averages you're getting in your research?  The few that I have looked at have varied greatly, so I just thought I'd volley the question out.  Thanks for any help!

I've been looking for a DOC as well and have seen estimates ranging from the $750 to $1300.  I'd like to spend less than $1000 though. Let me know if you find anyone good!

My DOC is from Richmond, and I'm paying $750 + travel (the total comes to $940). She was definitely the least expensive I found, but she also seems to be the most on top of everything. I'll let you know how everything goes after the wedding in two weeks.

Hey I just had my wedding in February and my DOC was fabulous. She was much less than $1000 and did a wonderful job. She made my life so much better and I had the best time at my wedding. Her name is Tyler FitzHugh and she works with Voila Event Studio.

Care to share the name?  In Charlottesville and our planners are a bit expensive.  I'm starting to looking to RVA planners as a result!

Does your venue offer the service?  Mine requires a DOC but if you don't want to hire one, you can pay $500 for their event coordinator or her assistant to act as your DOC during your rehearsal and on the day of (obviously).  I like the idea of having someone who knows the ins and outs of the venue.

I used Graceful Weddings and I loved them. I ended up using them for a 3 month package and it was 800 bucks!

I second the post regarding Tyler Fitzhugh at Voila Event Studio- she seems awesome and I am most likely going to book her as my DOC. Rates and reviews are amazing and she seems like a great person to work with.

Also found Nova Nuptials that had DOC rates at $500- I didnt meet with her though.

Thank you so much everybody!  I think I'm going to end up going with the lady who basically lives at my venue.  She's roughly around the low estimates I've seen (and what you all have provided) so I think she'll be the best of both worlds.  She got great reviews on Wedding Wire and we clicked personally.
