Whats a good price?

We originally were going with a band for the ceremony and reception. But when they finally gave us the contract they wanted $900.  So I tried to find out the price of DJ's instead and I came across one for $595. The DJ is including dance floor lighting, and wireless microphones for the ceremony.
Is that a good price?

We're getting the same thing for $500, but it is only for 4.5 hours.  Originally it was going to be $550 and excluding the lighting, I asked and the not only came down on the price, but including the lighting.

That seems high for a band.  My FI's band charges much less for a four-person jazz combo.
