wedding dress shops on a budget

Hi everyone...I'm a local bride getting married out of town but am getting my dress here. I do NOT want to spend more than 1500 on my dress but I do want the full bridal experience. Any thoughts? I'm a size 12 so I can't do sample sizes, etc.

*I've been to this store w/ a friend and the owner is lovely!  She gets gowns at incredible prices and has a huge selection (can get tons of designers)... worth your while to make an appointment.

PP has good suggestions. 

Also try consignment boutiques. Your selection will be limited, but you may find a gem. Also check out DB and AA. They have plenty of sale dresses for well under $1,500. 

When I browsed with a friend for her gown, she had to have almost all of the sample dresses she tried on clipped because they were like a size 12 or 14, and she is a size 6. I think they keep bigger ones on hand because it works better than having smaller ones, KWIM? But maybe that depends on the store.
