Suggest a cake baker

Please recommend an AFFORDABLE cake baker.  We don't need all the frills.  We are just hoping for a small nice cake.  Suggestions?  (We would like something a little fancier than a grocery store though :) ) TIA

    Where do you live?  If you live in or around Colorado Springs, I went with Amanda at the Sugar Plum Cake Shoppe.  VERY affordable, tastes great, and looks nice - for $2.50 a slice.  For a wedding cake I believe that is pretty affordable.  Not to mention she throws in the top layer for anniversary for free.

    the lady i am using charges $2.00 bucks a slice and that is fully decorated. She is in the Westminster area  here is her website

    She is awesome to work with. She is doing our cake and cupcakes for 200 pepople and it's only costing $335.00 so I think we got a killer deal.

    We are also using The Bagel Bakery.  We are having a cake to cut and cupcakes for over 70 people for $119.

    We also wanted something small but nice (and inexpensive).  We are using James Hunt out of Colorado Springs.  He's done cakes for both my mom and my brothers parties and everyone loves them!  And definitely a better price than anywhere else I looked:

    We were also looking for an affordable cake baker. We used Nancy Best Cake Design. She's been great so far and fits right in our meager budget. www.nancybestcakedesign.com

    Kathy Barbour Caks in the westmin Northglen area is great we are getting a 3 tier for $ 150 to feed 75 people and it looks great
