Place in Old Town for casual rehearsal dinner/pre-wedding party?

Hi all,

My fiance and I live in DC but our wedding is in Philly.  Neither of us are from there, so we're at a slight disadvantage when it comes to picking places for our guests.  We don't have a formal bridal party-- just a "Best Lady and Best Dude"-- so we don't need a formal rehearsal dinner, but we'd like to have a small pre-party the night before the wedding.  Rather than a sit-down dinner, we are looking for a more casual fun vibe, maybe with lots of appetizers?  We even thought about bowling (Pep Bowl?) too.

Any ideas?  We were hoping to have something within walking distance.  Our guests are staying at the Sheraton Society Hill.

Thanks!

Jess

  • hmmmm...walking distance to Sheraton Society Hill.

Positano Coast a really cool restaurant with an awesome outdoor space.

If you wanted to people get a more historic Philly experience—City Tavern is great, too.

  • Spasso's on Front Street.  Italian, reasonable with private room to side of restaurant.  Casual and very good food.
