Bar Poll

Re: Bar Poll

  • Having my reception in a national park building no alchol allowed..lol
  • We're doing a bar with just beer, wine, champagne, soda & juice.  WIth our location, having a full open bar (not even top shelf) would have doubled the alcohol costs.  So I can invite 15-20 more guests or have more alcohol.

  • We are having a full open bar, and frankly I have never been to a wedding that did not have a full open bar, most with top shelf or specialty drinks. Its New Orleans, its almost a sin not to provide alchol for guests here, so it was included in the PP price of our venue. Most really don't give you a option NOT to have it around here. I don't mind if the bar is just beer and wine though, I'm perfectly happy as long as I don't have to open up my wallet.

  • The good thing with having late afternoon reception is I'm hoping people will have the decency not to get wasted.  The FI and I are social drinkers, but we are on a budget.  That being said, we are having a limited open bar... beer, wine, and a signature cocktail.
