I got married in November at St. Andrews and had my reception at Jennette's Pier. I've seen that a lot of you are looking for cakes and I just wanted to throw Patti Cakes of Moyock into the mix! I really can't say enough about how she exceeded our wildest dreams for our wedding cake. We had an ombre cake of waves and it was absolutely gorgeous (if I do say so myself
. I had never heard of her, but our caterer, Andy Montero, recommended her and I have to say, using her for our wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made in the entire process!
I am from OBX and I have eaten my share of Great Cakes, and just about every other cake in OBX, and Patti Cakes was by far the best we've ever had. And it was gorgeous! My fiancée wasn't able to get to a tasting, so Emily made us up a beautiful tasting box of all of her icings and cakes to take back to Raleigh. She was truly wonderful to work with!
