We are getting married in a lodge in the Rockies. Since this is away from home and everyone will be arriving at different times that Friday (day before wedding), we are not having a rehearsal but my FI and I still want to feed everyone. We thought since almost everyone is staying at the lodge with us we could have a big pot of chili and some cornbread for dinner. Also available would be hot chocolate, some wine, and a smore's bar since there is a huge fireplace in the great room.
I need ideas for another soup for the none chili-lovers or non-beef eaters. I know we've got one or two that won't want chili. Any suggestions would be great. I'm not sure if I should do a chicken soup or just a veggie soup.
Basically we want something easy that anyone can help themselves to throughout the evening.
